i got given a ultra violet light once and many months later i saw a tv programme saying that you can see invisible germs when you use ultra violet light. intrigued i dug out the light and shinned it down the loo. to my horror you could see the loo bowl was fested with germs, and even more to my horror i had run out of toilet duck. in such horror i got in the car and went to tesco so i could get toilet duck and squirted it down the loo as soon as i got home. the germs dissapeared under the liquid almost immediately. just thought i would recommend the use of ultra violet light.

  1. I wouldn't buy one . The reason there are so many "super bugs" around these days, is that contraptions like this exist. There is far too much emphasis on being "germ free" these days, and the germs are getting immune, and breeding twice as quickly. How do you think people were so healthy years ago? They didn't have fancy ultra violet lights to show up germs.

I'm afraid I would prefer to stick to traditional forms of cleaning, which I have been doing since the day I got married,(33 years ago) None of my children has ever been ill with tummy bugs, and I believe it's because they have built up a benefitial immunity to the germs, and not been "mollycoddled"

I'm not saying my home is filthy, I'm just saying we are built to withstand household germs, and good old fashioned bleach is sufficient enough to zap germs down the loo. Why complicate matters, and kill benefitial germs around the home? as there are good germs, as well as bad germs, and people are getting far more serious illnesses these days because their immune system has been wrecked!!

  2. I have used a black light to see where my one little dog has raised his leg.  It shows pee, and when I went into the bathroom, just to see what I could see, I was a bit surprised to see what I THOUGHT was a clean toilet, wasn't so clean.  Needless to say, its another rung in my cleaning kit!  I didn't know UV would show germs, since they are microscopic?  Interesting!  Hope this helps you out!  Good luck!

  3. Usually UV Light sticks are meant to Kill germs, like this http://www.amazon.com/UV-Water-Purifier-...

  4. never heard of such a thing. I will have to try it.  Germs are microscopic anyway.
