Has anyone ever taken Compazine and went crazy!?

I went to the hospital yesterday and was given Compazine which is used for vomiting and 10 minutes after I felt like I wanted to jump out of a window and could not control myself. I haven't slept since then and I have been given Benadryl. I feel like Im losing my mind and I am experiencing a restlessness like I never have before and I cry uncontrollably. Has this ever happened to anyone and will it ever go away and how long? I feel like it never will

You had an allergic reaction to the Compazine (that is why they gave you Benedryl).  It is uncomfortable and frightening, but you will be okay and not lose your mind.  Make sure your doctor and pharmacist know you are allergic to Compazine so this does not happen again.
