Yes. There is an animal research facility out here in Reno, Nevada. A few years back the Animal Liberation Front tried to release some monkeys that were being used for medical research. The monkeys were infected with something that scientists called "Rage" and when the monkeys were released they attacked and infected the ALF and all the employees of the research center.

Needless to say the infected victims got out and quickly began attacking people across Reno and spreading the infection by attacking them and contaminating their blood.

Eventually a few people were able to escape to Lake Tahoe and the military quarantined off the city of Reno for a full year. The government and media fabricated stories about natural disasters (floods and forest fires) and poor ski seasons so that people would not try to come to Reno and see the damage that had been done.

The whole thing was horrible.

There has never been or ever will be a zombie attack period... so that just one less worry for you to have ok................................

Yes, I once woke up the entire first floor of a health and wellness retreat at 3am. (Night terror) No one could go back to sleep and we weren't allowed coffee.  They were definitely zombies for the rest of the day. When one of the counselors  suggested cardio to wake everyone up, she was met with the worst zombie attack ever. I don't think her ears will ever be the same. (expletives galore)
