I know many navy and SF personnel have to undergo this exercise - it sounds terrifying to me. Just what is the experience like?

  1. I used to be fired out of a cannon when I worked in the circus, anything to make a shilling as times were hard.

We had a lot of fun,........ until the accident.........

  2. funny you should ask that,,,

  3. Navy divers sometime exit a sub though the tubes.  The divers would climb in, then they would fill them with water then open the outside hatch to let them out....gently, but they are not "Fired" though them, it would kind of kill them.

During WWI and WWII sometimes the dead on board a ship would be "Fired" out of the tubes with oil and other debris in an attempt to make the enemy think that they had been "sunk" and they would try to play "Dead" in the water so the enemy would leave.

  4. you just have to hope there is no holes in the equiptment.

    and hold on tight

  5. If you were, you'd probably have a good case to take your boss to an Industrial Tribunal for unfair dismissal!!

  6. No, But it might be one h**l of a ride in one.

  7. you would not survive. the pressures would kill you

  8. They don't actually fire you out of the tube they use the torpedo tube as an escape route from the ship, or the SF use it for stealth missions. To actually fire someone out would kill them, the pressure is just too immense it would crush anyone.

  9. cannot be done, as to the pressure will kill
