  1. My parents flew with xl when going to Egypt and they didn't like them.  Dad said the leg room wasn't very good.

  2. You can only speak as you find, and on my last flight with them last May, from Gatwick to Malaga, they were fine.

I, too, usually fly with Easyjet or Thomsonfly but on this occasion XL were able to offer the cheapest fare on a last minute booking.   Flights in both directions were on time, and comfortable enough for short haul.   The seat pitch is pretty small on all short haul flights with UK low cost and charter aircraft.

XL open their check in 3 hours before departure and unless you are on a flight with 4 digits in the number, ie. XLA 1234, no complimentary food/drink is available.   Instead, you have "pay on board" food and drinks, which are a little on the expensive side.

You will find a mixed bag of opinions from passengers on the link below, but as I said at the start you can only judge them on your own experience.

    Have a good flight/holiday.

  3. They're fine - we flew to Rhodes with them a few weeks ago.  However, take your own sandwiches because stuff you buy on board is overpriced, like any low cost/charter carrier.
