Has anyone from savannah tech. got academic probation, if so what happens?

  1. A student is placed on academic probation when his/her quarterly GPA is below a 2.0. Academic probation status is removed at the end of the quarter, if the student obtains a quarterly 2.0 GPA or above. Academic probation is noted on the student's transcript.

    A student, who does not maintain a quarterly GPA of 2.0 for the second consecutive quarter, is placed on academic suspension. The academic suspension entails enrollment termination for one (1) quarter before a student applies for re-admission. A student who is academically dismissed twice from any program of study may not re-enter that program of study.

    Academic suspension may be appealed (in writing) to the Executive Vice President of Instructional Services. If the appeal is granted, the student will be permitted to enroll with a reduced course load as approved by the Executive Vice President and the student's faculty advisor.
