This is an idea my husband and I are toying around with. We will retire next year (we are only in our 30') and want a 2nd home in mexico/Latin America. Thought why no take our home with us until we find where we want to live.

I am interested in the logistics of it. Are your enough places to park? campgrounds? What about driving a big old RV back and forth across the boarder? Any trouble?

If anyone has any resourses or ideas I am looking for info.

  1. RVing in Mexico is great (as long as you plan your trip out in advance and let someone know where you are) There are a few camp grounds and decent roads but they are strategically located and you must know where they are and distances prior to leaving! One thing that i would suggest is to take the toll roads (freeways) as they are much more secure and much better roads for your rv! I would advise against pulling over on the side of a road just anywhere and reserve that for rv campgrounds or a secure motel/hotel establishment! there are plenty of beutiful sights and places of interest for ppl to have a wonderful time (it also depends where you would be entering the country! Good luck and i hope I've been helpfull in anyway!
