Question:

Has anyone funded their offshore gaming with CHECK CARD instead of credit card?

Asked this question earlier but I guess I wasn't too clear.......

I funded a reputable offshore gaming website with $500 using my Check Card (VISA logo). And the next day the funds were deducted from my checking account. So far so good. Then over the weekend, I managed to turn it in to $2500. But when I checked my bank today, the $500 was RETURNED and the charge was DELETED like it never happened.

They do say it could take up to 2 weeks for the funds to clear the banks but is this normal for the charge to show up the next day then have it dissapear few days later?

I'm just worried that the charge did not go through, which means I would have to forfeit the $2500 that I won.

  1. Ok so let me tell you how it works. When you process a debit or make a purchase using your debit card the transaction is then taken and put through a merchant acceptance. When your transaction is approved the bank is not allowed to reject payment (Regulation E). Sometimes it can take up to a week or two  to show back up on your checking account. When I fund my Casino and Poker Rooms it happens to me all the time. Dont worry the casino or room you play at still got their money it just takes a little time for the bank to repost it to your account.

  2. My guess is that it has more to do with your credit card's company filter which decides which types of transactions are allowed.  If the gambling site has 24/7 chat, then it might be better off to ask them.  I don't know if the funds would necessarily disappear, but I would tend to think you won't be able to withdraw the money with a pending deposit from you.  In the long run, using the eWallet associated with the gambling site is the best route to go when banking with gambling sites.
