I have! I am not an honor roll college student but I am not failing. I find it ridiculous to see how some are accepted and lose the interest and quit when there many students like myself that would be so grateful if ever accepted into Nursing school. If I were still young, I wouldn't mind taking classes over to get all A's but I'm older and have children, I need to do something in a hurry!

  1. Understand, that even when the nursing schools select the students with the 3.5 GPAs and higher many schools still have almost 50% of the nursing students drop or fail the program during the clinical phase.  At a time  when there is a significant shortage of nursing instructors, and the Baby Boom RNs are reaching retirement age, it is important that the highest number of students graduate AND pass the NCLEX-RN examination.

Though I will admit, after 32 years,I am about ready to give up on nursing.

  2. noooo i cannot wait to get accepted into nursing school.. i hope i do =/. i'd kill tooo get in keep trying.. there are weekend classes night classes hospitals will pay to send you to school. 18 month programs. never give up on your dreams!! good luck

  3. I did, I was passing no prob but I just didn't want to be a nurse anymore.  I love helping people but I couldn't stand to see them in pain, especially children and I didn't like the working environment

Now I'm working as a mail carrier making $1,000 every 2 weeks and only working 6-7 hour days.  Took me all of 4 months to get in with no experience and I love it
