  1. I just got back from a cruise on the Explorer of the Seas.  We took the 9 night cruise to the Caribbean and have visited Bermuda in the past (on Royal Caribbean).

First – The Explorer of the seas is a fantastic ship.  We had a balcony and enjoyed it 99.99%.  He had an extra day at sea due to a hurricane but that didn’t bother me at all.  There are a lot of activities on board.  Any review site will tell you about those.  The food is great.  In the dinning room, our party liked shrimp, so we ordered (special) shrimp cocktails every night.  All the food was good, windjammer and Johnny Rockets.  I could go on and on but I’ll let you discover the joys of the ship when you get there.   (the .01% we didn’t like was when we were getting out of the shows, the elevators were jammed, but that is a VERY SMALL inconvenience)

Second – Bermuda is a great vacation destination for a cruise.  You can eat on the ship or visit a local restaurant.  You have a lot of time to visit the island because you are there for a number of days, so no rushing to get things done.  The only caution I will give you is NOT to rent a motor scooter.  They drive on the other side of the road there and have many traffic circles.  So if you are not experienced in operating a motor bike, I would not recommend it.  They say every cruise someone in hurt.

All in all – you are in for a GREAT vacation – Enjoy!!
