Has anyone gone on their Honeymoon on the Island of Mykonos in Greece

Is it worth it? We both want to go, but should we do it for a honeymoon or wait until later and go for a vacation?

We went to Greece for our honeymoon--Athens and Santorini, not Mykonos.  I would HIGHLY recommend going to Greece for your honeymoon--it's gorgeous and plenty to do and the people are great.  It's a great honeymoon spot.

Friends of ours did a couple of years ago.  Her first time, one of many visits to Greece for him (family in Greece).  They thoroughly enjoyed it, pictures are beautiful.  They even had a second reception, full dress and all.

However keep in mind it is not a cheap destination, even more so if you do not speak Greek!  As in many places, bottled water is very expensive as they know they have the tourists between a rock and a hard place.  They said many times they were quoted one price until he spoke their language, then the price would drop, sometimes in half especially if the vendor had wrongly assumed they didn't understand and was talking about them with others!  

She said it was a beautiful honeymoon, was glad she got to see Greece but that sometimes it is better to be ignorant and just pay more.  She also jokingly said 'double your life insurance' because Greeks all drive like Indy drivers!
