Has anyone gone to A.A and what do you think about the program. Can you just walk in join a group.?

I was reading somthing about open and closed meetings. Does anyone no why some are closed and how you get in the close meetings. Thanks : )

I think closed meetings are for the people who are members of that particular AA group.  Many AA meetings include open meetings where it's open to everyone including court ordered people who have been convicted of driving while drunk.

Many people find it easier to open up to others when there's a smaller group of people you've seen before.

just walkin and sit down your will find people are very very friendly some AA meetings you wont like depending on where you go. dont get discouraged if you go to one and u dont end up liking it. go to a different place. good luck and going to an AA meeting can change your life. if u need support email me..
