Just FYI I can get into a medical school in the US, I just thought it might be interesting to study abroad. I got a 34 on my MCATS and am a competitive applicant. I just was curious about studying in the states vs. studying in another country.

  1. I know people who have.  It's a good medical school that is well respected in the US.  It's as competitive to get accepted there as any US school.

  2. It is an OK medical school, but I don't believe it is accredited in the states. That means that you will have to take a competency exam in order to work in the states. Here's the bottom line, if you can't get into a US medical school, you aren't fit to practice medicine. Grenada's med school is fine, but they will accept anyone with cash. That means that even though you aren't qualified to be a doctor, they will let you take the classes and residencies. If you are qualified to get into a US med school but want to go to Grenada, you will get a fine education, pass your exams, and get your US license. If Grenada is what you do because you're desperate to be a doctor and not a single med school in the states thought you were fit to practice medicine, you are going to get your degree from Grenada, and then get destroyed on the competency exam. If you couldn't get a decent MCAT score, you don't have a chance on this. On the plus side, you could always practice medicine in Grenada :).
