  1. yes, but I'm ready!!

I'm always looking for other options!

  2. Or try reading...FCC is only making airwaves analog free.  Last time I checked (which was today at my job, cable employee) cable is delivered thru a closed circuit.  Though, digital bandwidth holds 8-12 more channels than analog.  Thus the reason analog will dissappear, but not for 4-6 more years.

  3. They will 'dummy-down' the signal, and offer to rebroadcast to their subscribers at a 'bargain' rate or a high def rate, charging more to provide the 'full experience'. Also, if you sign up for hd and do not have it on all sets in the house, it will only come out of 1 tv. The other sets will lose the signal and need rabbit ears and a converter box to even show anything at all

  4. they are already all digital, i do not see how they are going to gouge customers... those who still have TVs with analogue tuners who are unaware that they are able to get a digital converter box (free if you apply for the coupons at http://dtv2009.gov ) will either have to subscribe to cable, or replace there TVs...

cable companies, and FiOS will see an increase in sales of basic subscriptions, an an opportunity to offer these customers the opportunity to purchace premium services...

The increase in subscribers will allow them to push the price even further down, and will provide for a better value for the end user.. .

and dont forget to let those who you know that they can just sign up for the free coupons for a digital converter box to keep using there old TVs...
