  1. Look up Voluntary Service Overseas.  (VSO).  That will improve your education, your CV and allow you to live in some really wonderful (and wierd) places.  Have fun.

  2. If you got the money buy a round the world ticket and pick the countries you really wanna see. STA travel seem to be one of the cheapest or Trailfinders. I've done it a coupla times and my tickets cost £1000, although if you do S America you gotta pay at least £500 more. Prob cost you quite a bit more tho now with fuel going up.

Bugger VSO, I'm sure you gotta be a God-botherer to do that and they send you up-country to do the **** jobs even the locals don't want to do.

Much better goin workin in a bar in Oz.

    Have a great time.

  3. are you thinking for this year or the following coz if it's the following work your *** off and save that money and go travelling but try do this with a friend or a group  you can find out more with a travel agency who can set you up to go away for a year with a group of ppl to different countries. just think how much you could do and see it would be great.

  4. Do something like JET or Peace Corps (the latter is 2 years). It will give you a new perspective on the world and both these programs will pay for everything.

  5. Help poor comunities in South America (Amazon area).

  6. I worked my gap year to help pay for my further education at college. Not only that, but I gained valuable experience in the field I was studying.
