I'm getting married on the 26th in Thailand, has anyone got experience with what needs doing at the British embassy? I've got affirmations of freedom to marry for myself and my partner, do I need anything else apart from that and our ID?

  1. If you are going to have marriage registration done at the British Embassy, you both need a copy of affirmations of freedom to marry, and passport.

You need to make appointment a few days in advance. They are always busy.

  2. Yes not religous Just paid the fee and got the paper took about 10 mins

  3. no idea. i would imagine you still have to make it legal if you plan on going back to britain.

i would get the British documents need for a marriage, take them with you to thailand and fill them out, that way you have them in english and may help speed up the process.
