  1. Yes, you can get married on a cruise ship, but it required that the ceremony is performed before the ship leaves port. You might want to contact your agent or the cruise line itself before planning your big day. I can certainly help you anyway I can. I am a certified cruise consultant. So I will be glad to get any information you need. Don't hesitate to contact me.

  2. I haven't but i've always thought it would be romantic to be married by the Captain of the ship!

  3. I have been on a great over night ship which sails from Scotland (Rosyth) to Zeebrugge in Belgium every day several times.

I had mused several times that it was the perfect length crossing, and the ships are more like mini luxury liners than ferries.  The food is also spectacular, particularly the buffet in the evening and at breakfast (although there is an a la carte restaurant as well).

The only downside is they have not yet introduced a no smoking policy, and so the lounge area can get a bit stinky during the evening after dinner frolics.

  4. Yes.  Not me, but *someone* has.

  5. yes you can........ just ask your travel agent about the details..... or if you will be on board just approach the reception desk. and ask about your plan. just make it sure you have the legal documents with you.....

  6. Someone who used to work for my husband got married on the Diamond Princess.  I think on Princess, the ceremonies can take place during the cruise.  There is a camera located on every Princess ship that has a wedding chapel so friends and family who can't make it can see the ceremony in stop action time (the camera refreshes every 20-30 seconds or so).  We tried to watch the ceremony mentioned above but the bride and groom had the camera turned off, so that's an option.

  7. www.royalwed.com they specialize in cruise weddings.

  8. My sister did years ago. And when they came back home, they had a reception. It's a good option if both people are not really interested in having a full-blown wedding. You can get married and have your honeymoon at the same time. :)
