  1. Yes, and yes!

    I bought it cheap last year, just before it was discontinued for the AE1000. For an LCD projector it is excellent, as Panasonic use a special technique called 'Smooth Screen Technology' which basically eliminates any of the grid lines you can notice sometimes with LCDs. The picture is nice and sharp even with this technology, and colours are great.

    It also runs very quietly and is easy to set up, and I've had no problems with it and watched many hours of films on it.

    Shouldn't cost above £800 if you found one new nowadays, I got mine for £860 in December 2006.
