If you got the job how much stuff did you have on your DMV record when you were hired? I applied for a really good sales job which requires me driving MY OWN car but I still have to be insured cause I will be driving under the company clock. I have stuff on my DMV record some recent and some a while ago. Im kind of worried.

  1. The company does not care about your traffic tickets. Auto accidents they would care. On company time they are liable if you were to get sued for an accident.

  2. I have had several jobs where I drove both my car and company cars.  No matter which one you drive, if you are on the clock then the company can be held liable in the case of an accident.  Therefore your driving record normally will be scrutinized for both accidents and moving violations.  Whether or not you will be disqualified for the job depends on the company's insurer.  In the event it does become a problem and if the job pays enough to make it worth your doing so, offer to increase the level of your liability insurance to $1 million which will take care of all but the most catastrophic accidents.  If your record is too bad however, no company is going to write that policy.  Good luck.
