I am thinking about the Pharmacy technician program. The price is great, but not if it isn't a good school. Serious input would be helpful. Thanks!

  1. I'm 18, working full time, and in my first semester at PFC.  For the money your paying (about 4,060.00 for an Associates Degree) PFC is unbeatable.  They are accredited by DETC, affiliated with CHEA, and many of PFC's courses are ACE reviewed.  The only downside to PFC is that it is NA (nationally accredited) as opposed to RA (regionally accredited).  This means that transferring any credit to a RA school could be troublesome, but it doesn't really matter if you don't plan on going on after PFC (me).  The price of all your textbooks is included, and the only additional cost I can think of is the procter fee for your exams, which I think is 30 dollars.  Although it's only been called Penn Foster College for two years, the institution has been around since 1890.  They know what they are doing.  I've never had any problems with them.  Many people will jump to say "oh you have an online education, how pitiful."  This just isn't true, once in the career field a distance learning program will be just as beneficial as any beer drenched campus education is.  It takes just as much dedication and motivation to make it through PFC's courses  than  any  "brick & mortar" school, so make sure your ready to work because there is no set schedule to finish certain assignments or classes.
