  1. I regularly get exams from a OD (Optometry Doctor) at WalMart in Fairlawn, Ohio. Dr. Cindy Drenth is awesome. They have as much up to date equipment for ROUTINE eye exams as the "world famous" Cleveland Clinic, wher I also have had an exam for Contacts.  There are minimum standards for care, and the Doctors office is independent of Wal Mart, they just rent the space.  Check with your local Walmart, you'll see.

  2. No and I wouldn't ether, you get what you pay for.

  3. don't know. I do know that is less expensive than the optomologist.

  4. well i haven't but my sisters have.

    they said it was okay.

but i guess it just depends

    on where you live

and how friendly the staff is.

and also that it is in a good location.

  5. I have had an eye exam for contacts at Wal-Mart.

I have also had an eye exam for contacts at Lenscrafters.

I did not find that there was a difference in service between the two. At Wal-Mart I was treated courteously and promptly. The doctor at the one I went to only works there part time; the rest of the time he works at a local private office. I have very sensitive eyes, and they were very patient with me, letting me try multiple sample pairs over a few weeks. And the lady in the glasses section was very helpful in helping me pick frames for my back-up pair.

  6. I havent but my brother and one of his friends did and said they were not satisfied at all with the glasses. They had to go back like three times to try to get them fixed right or at least i know my brother did. He had to have bifocals and they were too high up his glasses and they never could get them right so finally after three times of this and all they did finally agree to give him his money back. I have heard others complain but, some that doesn't  have huge eye problems did ok.

  7. Yeah, I did once and the machine they use to determine my prescription gave me pink eye because they never clean it and then they got the prescription wrong because the guy made a typo and then I had to buy another set of $30 dollar contacts.
