Has anyone gotten pregnant on the pill?

Question

I missed about 9 pills last month and had unprotected s*x all month long. I got my period on time but it was shorter and a little lighter then normal. and I have been on the pill for over a year now.

I have text book pregnancy signs, my b***s are killin me i'm constipated i have headaches and i'm tired all the time i get nauseous, and i have a dull ache in my lower back, i'm so boated....

what do you think ladies? had anyone ever experienced this?

I suggest that you take a test ASAP!  But whatever you do... don't start taking your birth control again!!

I have never forgotten to take nine. And if you have managed to do that how are you going to be a fit mother? Are you going to 'forget' to feed the baby?

If you had a period then I would say you are probably not pregnant.  However, I'm not a doctor so I can't say that you cannot have a period and be preg, but I have never seen or heard of it happening.  Go and take a test to be sure or make an appt with your gyno

Missing 9 pills pretty much messes up your whole cycle, so you definitely have a good chance of getting pregnant.

Well,better take a test to answer your question. Most of those pills, if you miss only once a day and you had or have s**, there is a big chance that you will get pregnant.

I've have never any contraceptives but I have friends that use them and they tell me one thing, "don't miss a pill if you don't want to get pregnant again" regardless how active you are in s**.

Once you know you're pregnant, better stop taking pills and consult your OB--GYN.

My sister got pregnant on the pill but I don't think she missed as many as you. Sounds like you may be preggo. Get a test or call your doctor. Good luck!

Yeah, NINE pills? Missing one can get you pregnant- heck, you can get pregnant without missing any (I know a kid that's parents were using a condom AND birth control when he was concieved!) Birth control isn't 100% effective to begin with.

And that short 'light' period may have been implantation bleeding. http://www.babyzone.com/askanexpert/answ... So you could very well be pregnant. If it was a normal period, then no, you're not. To be safe, don't start up your birth control again until you know for sure you're not.

well i got pregnant on the pill whilst on honeymoon,

BUT it was my own fault, i was on antibiotics which counteracts the pill so i take responsibility!!!

There is a small chance you can still get pregnant whilst taking it properly!!!

are you serious?  you missed NINE pills?  how the h**l did you do that.  and why on earth did you still have unprotected s*x.  well, i think that there is a great chance that you are pregnant, and i also would suggest that you do not procreate, because you are clearly not very smart.

After not taking 3 pills they are deemed ineffective - so yes you are just as easily able to get pregnant as the woman using no form of birth control.

I was on the pill and taking it everyday around the same time (within the same hour) and I got pregnant (with my twins).
