Has anyone gotten the new reuseable shopping bags?

The stores are selling the shopping bags that you bring to the store instead of plastic. Has anyone used them yet?

I got one from Yahoo after signing up in their Green section. It is very useful because it is tough enough to hold all of the heavy items (soda, milk, OJ, ice cream, etc.).

I have a couple, but I found that I have lots of other reusable bags already at home, so now I have enough even for my big shopping trips.

I sure do like not having all those plastic bags to have to throw away.

They are much stronger, can get more in them and don't rip and tear like plastic.

I've bought a reusable cooler bag from Trader Joe's.  I do like using it.  It's much more durable and I don't have to throw away a million bags.  I really think they are a positive idea.  My German sister-in-law tells me that stores in Europe actually charge you if you use the stores bags.  I think that will be coming soon in the US.

Yes! I, too, forget them at times, but to make a point to remember the bags- I keep things like coupons near them so I have no choice but to remember lol. I think it's so simple and it's about time they get the ball rolling on these bags- plastic bags drive me nuts- I hate how they clutter up my kitchen!

No, all the stores around here have their logo's on them printed with plastisol and not water based inks.  Those logo's or designs leak a mass of C02 in the creation.

yes, I have 3 and I have bought them for my friends. I love them, especially when going to the farmer's market. I sometimes forget to bring them in the store and that is irritating.

I only have OLD reusable shopping bags.  That's because I REUSE them.

in britain we have been using them for years, i think they are good and our stores here give you rewards for using them. i buy and use the natural fibre ones and when going shopping i leave them beside my shopping list so i remember to throw them in my bag. if i leave them in the car by accident i dont pack the bags and just take the trolley to the car and pack them when putting shopping in the boot

...I have and use them around the house too...I only have two so far...I don't think they are catching on very well yet...but maybe with time they will

Bags have been around for thousands of years, the only thing new is the logo on it and the extra $1 you wasted for it.

I always take a re-useable bag or my backpack.  

When you're buying a simple thing like a DVD, why not skip the bag and just carry it in your hand to your car?
