Question:

Has anyone had Panic Attacks and got over them? How?

I get panic atatcks almost every day and feel uneasy/panicky throughout the whole day. I have just been put on tablets so will see how they work but any other ideas?

  1. I used to have really bad panic attacks.I was put on medication and I don't have them any more.


  2. been on anti anxiety meds for 3 years. they help but i just avoid going out or doing anything that stresses me out and now im a virtual recluse..

    dont be like me...

    apparently CBT is good, i went once but it was too scary to go in the end so i only went once.

    i do the paul mckenna confidence cd which helps and yoga helped me too relax and all that bollox. hope u can get over it without things getting worse!

    I have been a sufferer for 12-years and am doing well. My blog is dedicated to help. I will be updating my blog every 5-7 days on new ways to cope anxiety. I have just made few good entries on coping - I hope it will help you.

    I started out taking prozac 20mg daily.. then it dropped to 10mg and now I am just taking 5mg and still doing very well. I might be considering taking medication off my life.

    And most importantly, I am here to help you because I know how it feels to have anxiety or panic attacks.

    Can you tell me what symptoms do you experience when you have panic attacks??/ more detail plz thanks

    Mine are somtimes my hearts starts to beat faster , I have strange pulsations in my belly, I feel anxious and uncomfortable, and get angry somtimes I starts to cry but not everytime...

  5. i get them too, just tell yourself that you're going to be ok and theres nothing around you endanger yourself, you should see a counsler

  6. if this is an everyday thing, it may be an anxiety disorder instead of attacks (which usually aren't an everyday occurence).  it helped me when i was with my husband who could calm me down and help me take deep breaths and remind me that everything was going to be ok.

    consult a therapist.

  7. unfortunately, yes. I am fighting against them with the pills. but you have to find inside why you have them and try to be stronger. panic attacks aren't dangerous, but they annoy too much.
