Has anyone had a UTI during pregnancy?

I went to the ER last nite because i felt something wasn't right. Ends up I have a UTI..no signs or symptoms just a guy instinct something wasn't right. They put me on Microbib...i hate taking meds while preg. Has anyone experianced this and what was the outcome.

Also....the babys heartrate started at 160 at 12 weeks...now its 120..what about this?

I've had a UTI for about 7 weeks now and I'm 38 weeks along.  It just felt like a regular UTI, but for some reason, slightly less uncomfortable.  I had Macrobid, which didn't take care of the problem.  Then I went into early labor and had antibiotics through an IV.  It worked for like a week and then it came back.  I'm just gonna ride it out, it doesn't seem to be constant or that bothersome.

About the heartbeat, that seems low to me, but if your doctor isn't concerned then it's probably ok.  Good luck!

i had a uti with all three of my pregnancies i had to take meds but everything turned out fine in the end. :) alot of women get uti s during pregnancy u and the baby should be fine. As for the heart beat if the doctor wasnt concerned about it i wouldnt be either, they may have counted it wrong one of them times lol doctors and nurses can make mistakes sometimes.

i had it early pregnancy with no signs either all the sudden i went to the restroom and there was blood in the toilet after i peed so i thought it was a misscarriage turns out i was peeing blood from uti. I also got antibiotics it was a bumblbee like colored pill that turned my urine a highlighter yellow color. It went away within a week. I hate taking meds too but when its prescribed from the doctor makes me feel safe. I was 18weeks when this happened.

I would call your clinic and ask if there is something natural you can take instead of microbib.  

160 at 12 weeks is normal.  How many weeks are you now?  I need this info to determine if 120 is a normal heart rate.
