Question:

Has anyone had a bridal bouquet made of yellow roses?

The theme of my wedding is grey, white and yellow. My bridesmaids will wear grey and will have contrasting white roses to hold. I want to have a really stand out yellow bouquet to add a splash of colour. I also think the yellow will look great against a white dress. However I am having trouble finding photos of an all yellow rose bouquet...can anyone help?

  1. Can't say that I have seen a all yellow rose bouquet. And not to hurt your feelings or your color scheme, but I think I had heard once that yellow roses meant friendship or loyalty or something like that. So they may or may not be the best color flowers to use for yourself, maybe for the bridesmaids but not for your bouquet as I think the bride's bouquet is to be more about love, passion, faith and stuff like that. I think it might be best to talk to a florist about all this though.

  3. Your color scheme sounds like a great idea! I think the yellow will look gorgeous against the white dress.

Here are some pics of yellow bouquets that I found:

  4. I work in a flower shop. I don't have any direct pictures, but I can describe a good scheme for you! White, grey and yellow is BEAUTIFUL, by the way. You could have your bridesmaids' all carry the white rose bouquets, and then have them wrapped in yellow ribbon and braided over in grey (braiding is just where the florist takes a thinner ribbon and incorporates it over the base ribbon.) Or, wrapped in grey, braided in yellow...the possibilities go on. Then your bouquet could be wrapped in white and braided in yellow or something. A good yellow rose is called the Skyline rose-- its a beautiful light creamy yellow. Also, think about adding some freesia (Grace freesia is a pretty light yellow shade) to add texture and scent! Make an appointment with your wedding florist to truly discuss what you want for your wedding-- they can offer a lot of options. Also, Sweetheart roses are tiny and light yellow, so you could incorporate those into your bouquet. Your groomsmen and best men could have sweetheart rose bouts! Also, your wedding colors come off to me as very clean and modern. Calla lilies are very clean looking flowers and come in a beautiful stark white, and would add a contemporary touch to your wedding bouquets! Good luck!

  6. indeed! I am. email me and add me on myspace and you can see my gorgeous wooden roses! I got 2000 (!!!!) and they freakign look real! for 200$

  7. I saw some in the portfolio my florist showed me to choose from. I suggest you visit a few florists, check their portfolios, and even if they don't have any there, ask if they can do an arrangement of another colour in yellow.
