We are house hunting and there is one that is gorgeous however, it doesn't have a driveway. So I am wondering if it is even worth the look. I just have no clue as to how much it would cost. I know that to really say you would have to see it, but maybe you can tell me your experience or round abouts. The driveway would end up being about 1 and 1/2 acres long. Thanks

  1. yes why

  2. Ask your gardener, my gardener does everyrthing. I bet they will do it less or price then a company coming in and making a drive way

  3. The cost is going to depend a great deal on what kind of material you want the drive made from and how long it is (and acre is a measure of area not length).  A contractor should be able to give you a quick estimate however, this is a project that is going to run into thousands of dollars.

  4. I would just have some one grade it and gravel it.......matter of fact you could rent a cat for a day and grade it your self...and then have the dump trucks come in and spread the gravel as best they can.......and then you back blade it with the cat........really not that hard to do...........in front of the garage you may want to pour a slab .....do something nice on the approach to the house............ but just gravel for the drive is good........that way nature's water goes back into the earth the way it should.........and you don't need ditches and pipe and all that stuff. Good luck  It would be nice to see a picture

  5. I am not sure if you want a concrete or gravel driveway. If gravel would be a possibility it would be much cheaper to install one. You would only be looking at the cost of some loads of gravel and someone to spread it. Concrete, of course would be very expensive. If gravel is something you would consider, I would check into that.

  6. hmm, 300 feet long, 6-7 feet wide, about 800-2000 $
