Has anyone had a natural birth and then a c section? ( regarding overhang)?

Just wondering about the c section over hang and if you had it with your natural pregnancy as well? Did your stomach recover better with the natural birth or were they both the same? Anything you would like to share along those lines.

I had a c-section and was up walking around about 4 hours later after second one. I never had a natural birth due to big head babies that didnt want to fit but I did go natural till I had to get a csection. and what is over hang?

Recover better after natural birth for sure.  After natural birth you can be up and going in a couple of hours, after sleep of couse because it is exhausting, not to mention you can xcersize earlier and work off all the fat because you dont have to wait for stiches to heal

Umm, i had a natural with my first, and then a c-section with my second, and for sure my belly recovered better with the first.  I still have that 'overhang' as you call it from the c-section.  its from where they slice your muscles.  After my first son my belly went practically flat again in about two weeks.  My mother was the same way, she had five children and until her first c-section, (number 4) she always had a flat stomach, afterward though, it all went to pot.  lol.  Also the physical recovery was better with my first, literally as soon as the epidural wore off i was ready to be up and about. I wanted to go home immediately and was bored stiff in the hospital.  After my c-section i was lucky to make it to the nicu to nurse my son every two hours. (he was jaundiced and under billy lights and also had a extremely fast heart rate). Although i completely recovered from both with no lasting effects other then mile-wide hips and the pooch. lol
