  1. Hi I do believe in nemerology and I do believe that each name represents us to the enter core.  I swear at times I want to go back in time and change my daughter or sons name. Alexandria and Michael are both strong names. Michael very michevious.  Alexandria is head strong.   I have studied this and u can purchase a book online and study it yourself. Keep an open mind. Dont close your mind off to the normalacy of society.

  2. Good god.  Please waste your money elsewhere.  There is absolutely nothing to numerology.

  3. How on earth can the spelling of our name determine your vital characteristics? For example, why would there be a difference between Phillip and Philip? What say I am called Phillip but everyone has always called me Phil? What should I use (surely usage is more important than the name typed on a dusty document? What say my middle name is Robert and everyone calls me Bob? What say I changed my name by deed poll? Which should I use then?

The more I think, the more fallacies come to light.

  4. Numerology is pure hokum, nothing more. It relies on the fact that if you search for any particular number popping up in your daily life, you're bound to find it if you keep looking. That's just the nature of our complex, multivariate existence. It also relies on connections between your name/birthdate and your future that really is arbitrary nonsense. Gorman will use the vowels in your name to determine your "soul's purpose". First, why in the world would the spelling of your name determine this? And how could this "prediction" ever be wrong, since you don't know your "soul's purpose" to begin with?

From the link below, "Some of the attractiveness of numerology and psychics comes from the desire to find somebody who will tell you that you are full of hidden strengths and powers, and who will reinforce your deepest needs and emotions. Yet, one must be desperate if one doesn't mind that the encouragement comes from a total stranger with no knowledge of who you are...But the real attractiveness of numerology, over say palm or crystal reading or other non-numerical personality analysis and prophecy, is that numbers give the quackery an aura of both scientific and mystical authoritativeness, especially if complex statistical analysis is involved."

EDIT: I had a mini-reading done for me at his website, 123numerology.com. I got a Life Path number of 7, Expression number of 8, and a Soul Urge of 9. The Life Path number of 7 told me I was very intelligent and analytical, but Gorman could have easily found out from my submitted information that I had a PhD and a number of scientific publications. He listed a number of character traits associated with high intelligence and/or scientific people, and most applied to me and some didn't, which would be expected. Gorman got off track with the Expression number of 8 (natural talents and abilities) where more than 50% of what he said was wrong. He really went haywire with the Soul Urge number, which described me has having a strong mystical leaning. LOL!!  Ooops. I have a hunch the Soul Urge stuff is boilerplate since it would apply to 99% of anybody looking for a free numerology reading, except a skeptic like me.
