Has anyone had a reaction to lubes?

i think im either allergic to it or something, cuz i tried 2 different ones and it hurt...whats a main ingredient in it that might upset people? any ideas?

i used that ky "yours and mine" (with the two different tubes, girl puts on one, and the guy puts on the other) and my, uh, area, hurt for several days afterwards.  i think there's too many chemicals in it or something.  if you're using one that has a spermicide, you could be having a reaction to that, the one that supposedly kills the HIV virus (nonoxynol-9) has a high rate of irritation.  try just getting something very basic, nothing fancy.  the fewer ingredients, the less likely you are to have a reaction.

some ladies are sensitive. if it has spermicide, this is most likely irritant.

if it persists more than a few days, check with DR.

general rule, if there is flavor, or smell to it...dont put it in there!!!

stay with plain KY jelly, that what Dr's use in a papsmear. its the safest.
