I have had this never before sore throat occur since Wednesday night. usually when I get sore throats with sharp pain for a day and half, I am able to have real hot teas and soups and they feel better. Even my scratchy throat seems to get relief if i have something hot. but this time whatever I eat, hot soups, teas, cold juices, I swallow and a second later...my throat burns. i can only have warm temperature water or soups and apple or yogurt seems to be all I can eat without aggravating my pain... i have not been able to eat or drink much since wednesday night cause of the sharp pain/burn I get in my throat right after. Anyone have that kind of pain before?

  1. Go to the doctor just in case. I used to get strep throat about 4 times a year. then my tonsils go permanently inflamed and i had to have surgery tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy, didnt hurt and not i dont snore either, just a bit more sensitive to smells like at the gas station or moth balls.

  2. That is strep throat. go see a doctor.

  3. I think it is strep.  You're contagious too, so don't share food or drink.  You may want to gargle with apple viniger, but usually you'll have to get some antibiotics prescribed.

  4. it sounds to me like you may have strep throat. I had it and it is very painful to eat and drink. consult your doctor and he should prescribe a medicine, take it for about ten days and you should be fine.
