Has anyone had a stomach scope before?

Question

I have to go have a stomach scope, and I am worried. I have no idea what this procedure entails and I have terrible gag reflex (even cleaning my teeth involves a gag here and there). I am concerned that I will not cope with a stomach scope. Any advice from anyone who has had one, or any medical people who know about them, would be greatly appreciated.

You will be put to sleep and not feel a thing.  You have nothing to worry about.  You will just wake up in the recovery room.  Good luck!

I don't know what they will do for you, but they put me to sleep during mine. Went to sleep woke up and it was over. Learned I had acid reflux. Basically that was really it. I was kinda scared about getting put to sleep, but to other than that you don't remember it. Unless they are not putting you to sleep that is.. but I am not sure if they even do that anymore
