I have a kidney infection and my doctor metioned "it would get better when the baby comes but that wont be until im at least 34 weeks" My other two children were c sections so that doesnt bother me, I just want to know if anyone else went early because of an infection.

I have one of the BEST OB'S in my area who has delivered my other two children so please do not reply telling me to go to another OB. I am already about 30 weeks. And im sure my doc wouldnt do anything to hurt me or my baby.

How far along were you when you had your c section?

What was the reason?

And how long did your baby stay in the hospital?

Did you or baby have any complications?

  1. I had an early C-section due to an infection with my first pregnancy.  I was carrying twins, and one died around 24 weeks.  My body "rejected" the dead fetus and I went into labor.  Before I knew what was happening, my water had broken.  I ended up in the hospital trying to stave off labor, which was working, but after 1 week I had developed an infection in my uterus (since my water was broken and completely exposed to the outside world), so the doctor recommended that the surviving twin would be better off outside than in an infected uterus.  He was delivered by C-section at 25 weeks.  Unfortunately he lived only 10 days in the NICU -- he was just too little to pull through -- but I don't blame the doctors -- I believe they made the right decision for me and the baby.
