Question:

Has anyone had any experience or encounter with tree spirits?

I recently took a photo and when I zoomed in on it, I could see many faces in the leaves. I have shown the photo to others and they can all see the faces.

The grove in which I took the photo has had the trees for over a hundred years. I did not get a sinister feeling there, only peace and bliss really. I thought they might be referred to as Dryads, but having read up on them, these faces were predominantly male.

Has anyone taken any unexplainable photos of spirited trees, so to speak? And no, neither my friends nor I take drugs!

  1. My children and I had been spending the night in our yard years ago.  There was no wind at all.  My huge Bing-Cherry tree did something...it made rustling sounds as if there was a wind.  Shortly behind this my other Bing Cherry tree did the same.  Back and forth these two trees talked by fluttering their leaves.  No other tree moved.

The next year while traveling from Washington state to California, we stopped in a rest stop.  I went to the bathrooms with my children.  When we came out and looked to find our car.  The Oak Trees did something very weird.  In their fluttering we heard "WATCH OUT" over and over again.  I said to my daughter, "Do you hear that?"  she said what I thought I had heard.  OFF in the corner of this rest stop sat a van...the window came down "Do you ladies need help?"

The trees knew it!  I put my children behind me and said "NO thank you mister!"  Then got to our car to tell my husband that a weirdo was in this rest stop.  He asked how I knew, and my child told him "The trees outside the bathrooms said so."

  2. I have seen only one photo (not to say that there are not others) that was tree spirits.  Interestingly enough it was caught by Google Maps over a persons property.  Tree spirits are not evil.  They are a part of nature.  That would explain why the peace and bliss.

  3. Did you say tree spirits? Ever heard of matrixing?

    You should read this...

  4. Can you show us the photo?

If you upload the picture to a free photosharing site like Photobucket you can then post the link.

  5. Tree spirits?  As in the spirits of trees or spirits in the trees?  You're kidding, right?  I don't intend to come across as insulting, but what on Earth makes you think there is such a thing as tree spirits?  What sort of logical and natural explanations are you completely ignoring when jumping to this conclusion?

  6. Well, I have had trees talk to me but I also hear spirits...I think I am weirder than you are.  :D

They could be tree spirits....when I use that term I basically am thinking of tree fairies but they could also be something else...something darker. I used to have some pics like that and I have seen it without a camera too...just not in the trees.

I think that whatever entities make those faces exist in a realm that overlaps ours and they may not necessarily live in the trees but are showing themselves to you through them.

I suppose that since it felt peaceful and serene and I take it none of the faces look mean or sinister, that is pretty cool! I would like to see a picture too. :)

  7. well i have to ask are you sure that it wasn't just because of the lighting? if you are defintantly sure its not the lighting then you may have something. but i really doubt that the picture you took had something to do with spirits

  8. Itz da alianz

  9. My wife always says that she sees fairies and I didn't believe it until I saw 2 brown fairies flying together.  I believe in just about anything now.

  10. no

  11. We camped out once and had built this small bonfire and shot some pics of the good time we had and found later on the digital pics had  these "orbs" which I am told are spirits. But real faces? That is just creepy and I would stay clear of that place.

  12. I agree with the guy before me, I would double, and than triple check the lighting, LOL, but I'm one of those people that 'try' to find the "logical" answer first, so please don't take that part being bent as a skeptic scoff.

No, seriously though, growing up my great grandmother who is full blooded indian (although I wasn't made aware of that fact till a year or so ago) used to tell me, and actually taught me to be respective towards trees (speaking to them in a certain way, occasionally offering gifts and so on and so forth, and fyi she isn't senile yet even after being a hundred years old, lmao) because of the "guardians" that nurture, care, and maintain them.  So maybe you could call them that or caretakers.  My grandfather though, who was hardley the supernatural type being Jehovah Witness, called them the "Greenthumbs," or "Green Elves," which I always found really amusing because of the religious practices of his denomination.

Which ever, and what ever you choose to call them, it defiantely indicates a happy and healthy grove of trees.  A place of nurishment and healing both spiritually, physically, and mentally.  That is speaking just from a avid gardner's perspective.

  13. But it's common for humans to put faces on things where faces aren't normally found.

One can find "faces" in wood furniture, on wallpaper, in ceiling tiles, on Cheetos or toast, a reflection on a window or glass picture protector, etc.........
