Has anyone had any good or bad experiences using zipcar or Autoshare in Toronto?

I'm thinking about joining zipcar or Autoshare in Toronto, but want to find out if anyone would recommend or not recommend using this car rental service.

I have heard of these. Personally I just think they are too expensive, I would just go for a normal rental car, but that's just me. I have not used it so I don't really know to answer your question, sorry.

My brother is working for a tv production for Slice/Global right now and they are sponsored by zipcar.  

You would think that sponsors would make sure everything would run smoothly, especially b/c the crew travels to shooting locations using zipcars.  However, the cars get returned late from other users, and often dirty, with spilled coffee or garbage.  If I was relying on a zip car to get to work, and it got returned late, so that I was late for work, I would be pretty pissed off.

I have a few friends that have used it and they say it is great!  They have had no issues, but they used Zip Car...I dont know anything about autoshare...good luck.
