  1. Cash4Gold is actually a legitimate company, and one of the most successful ones out there.  All of the knock offs you see online are copycats.  Read this news article about their company, you can really see they are legitimate:

  2. I actually posted a similar question to yours but got nothing but great reviews so I decided to try them out. They gave me the top value for my gold plus 5% more on top of it from their leading competitor. Cash4Gold buys gold and they are a refinery as well which definitely is better than dealing with pawnshops and middlemen. I had no issues with them and they are a legitimate company. I tracked my order with the track the pak feature they have and got my direct depost (or check if you like) in about a week. I was hesitant at first but when I researched them a bit, I found that they were featured on Howard Stern, ABC News, NBC News, and they are part of the Better Business Bureau. Cash4Gold is a great company that buys gold. I would definitely use them again and recommend them as well.

  3. don't do it......you'll for sure get ripped off.

Pawn Shops, and Jewelry shops suck equally as bad !!!

I considered a bunch of options for my jewelry, but they all seemed to be a rip off.

Do a search on eBay for "scrap gold" or "scrap jewelry" and see how much more you can get. Just buy a small scale, weigh it up, and post it.

For all that I had to sell....a few jewelry shops offered me between $120-160......I EaSiLy (2 days) sold the exact same amount on ebay for $700 !!.....and I could have gotten more. ( I just wanted enough for my PS3 and some extras ;)

All those places pay by the gram......which is not very much.

Trust me, eBay is the way to go for this one.

  4. You shouldn't sell your gold! The way the economy is going gold is going to be the only thing that still has worth. You have to remember money is only paper and will only have as much value as economy allows, but gold will always be worth something.

  5. You would probably be better off going to a local pawn shop.  That way if you don't think they are offering you enough you can take your stuff and go.

  6. Let's see.  You send them gold.  You wait for a check.  Was it worth it?  I seriously doubt it.   A pawn shop will tell you face to face.  Would you give your car to someone with a payment in the works?

It might not be a scam, but you probably won't get paid what it's worth.  Next time you have a garage sale *or thrift shop*, try selling it for more than what the pawn broker offers you.

Buying new jewelry is like buying a new car.  Once off the lot, it decreases in value.

  7. well...i live in nyc...and i took my unused gold (stuff that i no longer wear)...to a place that buy's gold....but truthfully? you gotta do it when the price is high...

i did it at the right time (it was about $950 an ounce)

    I got $1,500 for a 14k link chain.
