I have just started to wear contacts and they start to fog up when I don't blink every 2 sec. and they move when I blink. Is it necessary to still feel them? Or for them to react the way the lens do? Any insights or answers let me know. THANKS A BUNCH!

  1. They may not fit properly.  Also, it helps to know what type of lenses they are....rigid, soft, spherical or for astigmatism?

They should be relatively unnoticeable when you wear them and the vision should stay relatively stable.  What you are reporting is not normal.  Regardless, this is a problem that you need to discuss with your eye doctor.  It will likely not resolve on it's own.

  2. When you say fog up, is it possible they are blurry?  If you are wearing soft lenses & you have an astigmatism.  If you do not have contacts that are weighted and you have an astigmatism, blinking will move the contact enough so that you can see clearly.  Sometimes the eye doctors don't feel the astigmatism is bad enough to order the weighted contacts.

  3. I go through this at work a lot. I believe the air there is "unhealthy". Anyway, my doctor suggested I use an eye drop call "Blink and Clean". It is designed not only to rewet your lenses, but to clean any protein that has built up on the lens. That seems to work very well for me.

  4. I wear contacts and i know exactly what you mean. I just take them out and put some solution on it. And it gets better for me. =)

  5. ive been wearing contacts for a while, and mine always do that when im walking through say a hallway. i guess the air is dirty or something, so they get fogged up, so i just close them for  a second and press down on my eye lids. then it usually goes away.
