Question:

Has anyone had experience of Audacity and Sonic Stage?

I have been using both and although I have no problem converting and saving Mini Disc to a WAV File, I cannot persuade Sonic Stage to accept it other than to display it on My Playlist but it will not transfer it to make an Audio CD. Any answers would be helpful.

  1. I used Audacity kind of briefly, but it's still a great program. Mostly I used it to record a mockup of a song I was writing, and make other people's songs sound all creepy (Great fun! If you want, I'll teach you how). It's easy to record a bunch of .wav tracks together and save them as an .mp3.

All in all, I'd recommend Audacity.

  2. To create audio CDs, I use dPoweramp Music Converter. It used to be free but not sure if that is still the case.
