Has anyone had experience with adding a 4th bedroom onto their home?

My husband and I have a 3 bedroom approx. 1100 square foot manufactured home (I guess you could call it a doublewide if you wanted to). Currently the two kids bedrooms are on the same side of the house and we would like to add a third on that same end for our new baby when she gets old enough to need her own room. We really love the home and are also planning some other remodeling to make it "ours", so we are hoping to build on instead of just buying a new home. Has anyone had any experience in this area, does it sound feasible, is the cost worth it, etc.??

just remember, that for the future... your current home will not appreciate like a foundation built home, so if you are planning on moving into a foundation built home anytime in the next 5 years, don't bother... you'll never get your money back out of an addition... however, if you believe that where you are is where you wanna be for quite a while, then sure go for it.... just PLEASE hire a responsible contactor... and do ALOT of research.... i've had some horiffic experiences with bad work.. and contractors skipping out before the job is done.
