Has anyone had intercourse instead off iui using gonal f pens?

Hi i have just taken my ovitrelle injection to make me ovulate but the nurse said i already started on my own but neva mind. I normally have iui to but this is my 3rd time on it and i chose not to have the iui this time and wanted to try on my own the nurses said his was fine cause my partners sperm is fine and it was my choice. Has anyone else just had intercourse instead of iui? The nurse said to have intercourse Tonight and 2moro night and am going to use preseed how long does sperm live for when i Use preseed. Do u know if its a shorter time? Thanks for any answers.x

Hi!!  We have tried 2 cycles so far of Gonal F with timed intercourse.  Our doctor recommended the timed intercourse because there are no issues with my husbands sperm counts as well.  My doctor really feels we do not need IUI at this time.  We will be going back for our 3 round next cycle.  We took a break for a couple of months.  Preseed is supposed to help with sperm mobility but I don't think it does anything with the sperms lifespan.  Normally sperm live about 3-5 days inside the uterus which the preseed wouldn't help with because it is only place in the v****a not the uterus.
