Has anyone had laser eye surgery?

8 years ago. still loving it.

there is no pain at all, yes a little odd for a few seconds you will see grey and it may smell a bit. only a few seconds though.

i was -4.25 both eyes 8 years later i am -.50 both eyes

you cant rub them for several weeks after, they are tender, not painful but you want the cornea to heal properly

they used to cut into the eye that was RK. now with laser its ALL laser and there is no cutting with a knife. they do use the laser to make a flap to get to the cornea, but i promise there is no pain and you will love the results. NO MORE GLASSES OR CONTACTS

I had! 2 years ago! My type of surgery (Lasik if i remember well) didn't hurt at all. It was done in apx 3 mins each eye.No covered eye or anything. Unfortunately I had too bad eyesight (10.50 & 8.50) and a 3.00 and 1.25 was left at each eye. Don't care about the cutting... they know, you trust! It's simple! I assure you, you don't feel a thing!

Yes! And it was the best thing I ever did!! I had the Lasik surgery about 6 yrs ago. I was very near sighted. My glasses were very thick so i wore contacts even though they didn't give me perfect vision because of my astigmatism. I went to a meeting at a local eye doctor's for info. It is done with a laser that cuts in the right places to make the curve of your eye perfect. They numb your eyes with drops and you don't feel a thing. They gave me a Valium first. You have to lay very still and stare up at a light. A little device holds your eye open for you. It took only about 30 secounds. You wear goggles home and my eyes burned some after I awoke from a nap (the valium) But they gave me drops for that and it was fine. I could see 20/20 as soon as they were done. I was so excited that  could see the clock on the wall clearly!!  It changed my life. Do it!!!  You will love having good eyesight!!

Im sure plenty of people have had laser eye surgery. I mean it's not new or anything. Besides i know people that have done it. If you want you can look it up on youtube. They have some while the surgery is being done.
