Does it hurt?

If you can let me know in your answers, I'd be grateful.

  1. My aunt had two retinal detatchments and she assures me that it doesn't hurt, but you can see blood floaters.

She did when it happened to her. She since got them both lazered and thankfully hasn't had any trouble with them.

  2. Retina detachments generally do not cause pain.  Some of the signs and symptoms include: flashing lights, floaters, a curtain or veil that appears to block part of  your vision.  If you experience anything unusual with your eyes you should get it checked out.  Time is of the essence when repairing retina detachments.  If you go longer than about 48 hours, the damage may be permanent.
