My wife and I are taking a cruise and would like to bring some radios to communicate. I'm wondering if a coupel of $40 Motorola two-way radios would work between decks. Any experiences or links?

  1. We use the 2-way radios on board to communicate with our teens.

The only problem we had we many groups use 2-way radios while on board and it can be a hassle finging a channel that does not have alot of traffic on it.

Take along a power strip to charge the units...there is only 1 power outlet in the cabin.

  2. I have been on many cruises and never used them however I have seen many other people using them so I guess they work. Make sure you get more then the range you need since with 2 way radios if it says 1 mile range that means 1 mile with nothing between the two radios.

  3. These work very well. I've used it with my wife when we go separate ways. She goes to the gym and I go to the rock climbing wall. You should experience no problem at all.
