Question:

Has anyone had successful results for corrective surgery on the macular of the eye?

This surgery is innovative and involves adjusting the cellophane like covering over the macular which has crinkled and gives distorted vision over time.

By the way this is not the same as macular degeneration

Both my own GP and consultant do not have a great deal of information on this corrective procedure. So I would appreciate any information or avice you are able to provide about this operation. Thank you so much.

PS if needs be I will contact the Moorfields eye Hospital in London to see if they are able to provide further info.

  4. my info is this. once you have lost some of your eyesight this way there is virtually no hope of regaining what has gone! i should know have, been through the mill myself, lost 30% all that can be done is prevent it from getting worse NOT cure it. and my eyedoctor, is the top specialist in Australia, and the one that referred me to him, is his runner up to the title. and both sing the same tune im afraid to hear, but if you hear that something can be done afterall i'm all, ears!! hope it was a little help
