Has anyone had the Marine Coil and become pregnant?

I ask because I know NOTHING about the coil. My friend said she had the Marine Coil put in a few months ago but now she thinks she might be pregnant?

She said she thinks the coil fell out? She took a test but it was negative (but I AM pregnant and had 2 neg tests at first).

She is having a scan today and I don't know what to think? She really actually wants to be pregnant but I don't if it's likely she would be and I don't want to see her so disappointed....

Yes my boyfriends mum fell pregnant on the Marine Coil with his older brother!!...

it is unlikely that the coil fell out, but it is possible to become pregnant with the coil still in place. i did. it is unusual but nothing is impossible. hope all goes well with your pregnancy and your friends if she is.x

Silly question, but if she wants to be pregnant why have the coil fitted? It is unlikely she is pregnant, but not impossible. I have never heard of a coil falling out, sounds very strange.
