I've had the Rhogam shot twice during my pregnancy so far (I'm 29 weeks). This is my first pregnancy.

Lately, I've heard and read a LOT about there being more of a percentage of autistic kids with mom's who were RH-

I'm also concerned about getting my baby girl vaccinated.

I want to hear from people who had the Rhogam shot DURING pregnancy AND had their children vaccinated and everything is fine with their child.

I'm just really scared right now and stressing over it.

You never can find the "good news" online.. only the negative.

  1. I've had the Rhogam shot with my twins pregnancy and my last baby.  All 3 of my boys were vaccinated as well.  The twins are now 4.5 yrs old and show no signs of autism.  The baby is only 11.5 months old but he is on track for all of his milestones at this time.

I too, got scared when I read stuff about this online.  This is where faith comes in.  If you beleive in God, then you need to pray to him.. and have faith that he will protect your choices, as well as your sweet baby girl.

  2. My daughter is 13 months and has had all her Vacs. I had the whole Rh deal too and had to have the shots. My girl just had a in depth developmental test and she is doing AMAZING! She scored the top in everything...she is way far ahead and shows no signs of anything being wrong with her in any way.

*Note: She had the test because she has Cystic Fibrosis and was on a study formula for a year. They wanted to compare the kids with the study formula to those with the control one. I am still unaware of which she had!

  3. I hat the Rhogam shot when i was pregnant.  I can't remember if i had one or two.  I know i had one after i delivered as well.  If your baby comes out with the same blood type, then you will not need another shot.  If your child had different blood, then they will give YOU another shot of Rhogam.  My son is perfectly healthy, he scoed 9/10 on his scores and is very healthy.  I don't think they gave my son a shot, i never heard of them giving the baby a shot whose mothers where RH-.  But all in all, my child is perfectly healthy, has never had any thing wrong (knock on wood).  So, i wouldnt worry.  I know i was very worried when i got this shot, let alone when they gave me anything! lol.  They are saying alot of things are causing autism, just like they are saying alot of things are causing cancer.  I wouldnt let this concern you.  if you didnt get the rhogam, its going to affect your next child, if you deciede to have another.  The shot has been around for a very long time.  Relax and enjoy your sleep while you still have it ;), and Congrats!

    That's me.  Zero problems whatsoever.

Why have you gotten Rhogam twice?  I got one at 28 weeks, and another a day after my daughter was born and found to be Rh+.

  5. I am rh- and have got my 3 and a half year old vaccinated. He is fine I do wish that the shot s would be spaced further apart in kids but don't worry

  6. i currently am 21 weeks with my 3rd child i am b- i have had this shot many of times my oldest is 7 she is fine my son is 5 and they do think he has autism but i cant confirm its from the shot what i do know is without this shot your body can kill off your unborn child so your question is are you strong enuf to handle a autistic kid or take the chance of loosing your un born child to me there is no question my son is very special to me and as i await the shot again with this child im willing to take that chance know in your heart that a child is a gift from god and you no matter what the case will do very well

  7. my mother had both with me. im fine. i had both with my son. so far hes fine.

  8. I had the Rhogam shot and none of my three kids are autistic.

  9. i'm RH-, had 4 rhogam shots, and baby has gotten her vaccinations. She's only 7 1/2 months so still has more vaccinations to go, everything is A-OK here.
