Has anyone had their inside lip tattooed?

did it hurt and does it bleed a lot?

I normally hate people who ask these sorts of questions but i've never met anyone with their lip tattooed!

I want "smile" written, because my mum always says i don't smile enough (i suffer from manic depression) so at least now i can say i'm smiling on the inside)

Apparently it does hurt but idk it depends on how much pain you can take. Some people will say it kills and others will be like meh.

yea. people have had it... http://www.instablogsgallery.com/gallery...  this one is pretty tight... I am sure it bleeds a little because you have a lot of veins inside your lip... You should get one! itd be totally sweet!!!

It's called bi-polar disorder and doesn't include among its treatments, tattoos. No sane person wants to permanently disfigure their skin.

I have one.

And, it doesn't hurt one bit.

It's a little annoying, because of your lip being pushed down for so long, but it hurt less than all my other ones.

The only thing is that it will fade after awhile, like a few years.

Mine hasn't yet, but I have friends who've had theirs fade, but they normally fade faster if they aren't done in thick black lettering.

I say do it, haha.

I havent personally, but if you look on www.bmezine.com there is loads of pics and stuff on there about lip tattooing! I think its cool btw, and a great idea!

I havent but I think It will hurt a little probably wont bleed just a little sore, But I think its great having your lip tattooed

Firstly... i love your idea. i think its great!

And secondly...  i dont have one but a friend does and she said they gave her a tablet which was some sort of anaesthetic which numbs inside your body. im not too sure (this may be bolox) but this is what she told me.  and she also said it didnt bleed.

But i say go ahead with it!!! may be 5 minutes of pain but then youll have your tat!!!

I've heard of it being done but never actually seen it. I love tats but man that one would prolly get infected easily and be painfull.

So, aside from the douche bag saying its body disfigurment, whatever. I love your reason, its really unique! I was considering one myself, but then I have no idea how much it would hurt...I'd probably wager that its kinda gross when it scabs over and all that in your mouth, though.

I've been considering an inner lip tattoo for a long while now, so I can't speak from experience.

But I would imagine it would bleed just as much as any tattoo would. Not sure about the pain, but I'd think it would be sore like any tattoo for the first few days.

I love the reason you want "smile" written on your inner lip, it's great :)

Oh, you could always check out http://www.bmezine.com for tattoo experiences, there's lots of pictures of inner lip tattoos on there - surely there has to be some experiences.

Former WWE stuperstar and current punk band Luchagores frontgirl Lita [Amy Dumas] has "punk" on her lower lip inside.

I saw someone who did it themselves. I heard it wears off after a year or so because your mouth regenerates its skin often or something

one of my friends dad has england written inside his top lip ! it really hurt because its just like flesh and no bone :( it bled a little but not drastically, i like that smiling on the inside thing, its nice :)
