Just wondering if anyone has had their Mercury fillings removed & replaced & what your experience was like? I'm considering getting the procedure done & was wondering how the replacement fillings hold up to wear & tear?

  1. Yes, it is not bad at all. You have to see it as you are ridding your body of poison that continously seeps into your system. So, even if it were painful, i would still want to do it.

  2. Its fast, efficient and painless.

My experience was exactly that.  If your afraid of needles, don't be.  It's just a pinch to numb you.

I am doing just fine, now.

  3. I had it done 4 years ago and everything is fine. The new fillings are actually better as they hold the tooth together whereas amalgam fillings enlarge slightly and tend to push the walls of the tooth apart and make it necessary to change fillings more often.

I am really glad I got rid of that source of mercury. Amalgams are now forbidden in the country where I live. Good thing too!
