  1. Yes, many times.

It is more difficult with the uniform and boots on. Just practice if you are worried about it. Going off the diving board isn't bad, just hold the weapon away from you so you don't hit yourself in the face like some people do on water impact.

  2. I took mine in Jacksonville, FL. It was about midnight when we hit the water and about four when they pulled me out. As warm as that water was, after an hour, it gets really cold. You start wondering if they forgot where they dropped you. It's pretty bad.

  3. Mine was off the coast of Coronado, Ca.  They teamed me up with two non swimmer.  We jumped feet first off the bow of the LARC Boat, with me being flanked by the two of them (one on each side).  They were holding my belt and I told them that if either of them panicked when we hit the water, and if they tried to push me down to get themselves to the surface, I'd drown them.  We jumped and sure enough, there was clawing, scratching, kicking and kneeing.  I grabbed the guy by the ankles and jerked his sorry butt down.  Got to the surface, caught my breath and let him surface as well.  We formed a chorus line and laying on our backs, kicked our way the few miles back to land.  All was good until we hit the surf...  And by the way, the Pacific in the winter is REALLY cold.
