Question:

Has anyone had trouble cancelling talk talk broadband?

I thought I'd try talk talks 30 day trial of broadband as I have my phone with them. I'm well within the 30 days and I've tried to cancel it because I've decided to stay with my old I.P.

They have told me I can't just cancel the broadband, but I must cancel the phoneline as well!!!

They advised me to go back to B.T. I contacted them, but they have to, by law, leave 11 working days before taking over the phoneline. This takes me up to the 26th Feb. Talk talk say they will cut me off on the 21st of Feb.

If this happens, I will have to pay £125 to B.T. to reconnect.

I would be grateful to hear from anyone who has had this experience, particularly if they can tell me how to get round it.

  1. I can personally recommend going to the following website

    www.UtilitySaving.Biz

Look at their broadband packages as they are some of the cheapest that you can get and also include FULL PHONE AND LINE RENTAL - In short this means that you will never have to pay BT line rental.

If you sign up they should be able to do a straight switch, if you do get disconnected then NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES get reconnected with BT, with the website I have just mentioned they can reconnect you  (providing existing BT cabling is in place)  for £25 or if you need new cabling and overhead wires etc (very rare) £99 - In any case it is always cheaper than BT.

Currently you cannot get reconnected on-line but e-mail me at : WKeeble78@aol.com and I will be happy to send you the forms and it does not take long at all.

  2. tell them that your contct ofcom or contct citizens advice they will call them for you and they will soon do what you want

  3. this is why im dreading cancelling mine with AOL.

  4. Best I can do, I would send you over to someone here in the states that I know that's in charge of telecommunications services, but they said they couldn't help you because your in another country.  They referred me to someone in the UK.  I've contacted him for you and he should be contacting you shortly.   Sorry, that was the best I could do for you.

    Good Luck!
